Summary

Alliance Insurance Group is a dynamic, growing, independent insurance agency in Arvada, Colorado seeking a Commercial Lines Insurance Account Manager to help grow our team. We are looking for a high-energy, career-minded individual to help us retain clients and provide exceptional customer service. This position is full-time, Monday thru Friday with flexibility.

Experience in the insurance industry, especially with construction, oil, and gas, manufacturing, restaurant & bars, and/or mid-sized commercial is highly desired. The ideal candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude, have market experience, and be willing to learn. Education in the insurance industry thru CIC programs or CISR programs is highly recommended.

We are specialized insurance consultants assisting clients in various areas including, but not limited to Commercial Property, General Liability, Excess Liability, Automobile, Workers Compensation, and Professional Liability for all types of businesses and personal insurance customers.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Job Type: Employee – Full Time

Years of Experience: 3-5 years minimum

Education Level: Some college (or comparable insurance designation/experience)

  • 3-5 years minimum commercial lines experience
  • Experience in reading and deciphering contracts and insuring agreements
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to multi-task
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills
  • Team player but with the ability to self-govern
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Aptitude for evaluating and interpreting information
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new software, systems, etc.
  • Active Property and Casualty license is required
  • Experience with Applied Systems EPIC software is a plus, as well as familiarity with online rating systems of major carriers such as Travelers, Hartford, Liberty Mutual, Foremost, Pinnacol, Progressive, State Auto, and Auto-Owners

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Handling and administering customer service calls and inquiries related to Property and Casualty/Life insurance coverage
  • Assisting in the servicing of new business accounts, including issuing quotes and preparing proposals for in-house producers and associate members.
  • Assisting with re-writes and renewals, as well as ensuring that policies are renewed in a timely fashion
  • Attending client meetings and functions to strengthen existing relationships
  • Completing ACORD applications and preparing carrier submissions for in-house producers and associate members.
  • Quoting new and renewal business
  • Processing policies, change requests, endorsements, and audits
  • Processing certificates of insurance and ID cards
  • Ongoing verbal and written communication with clients, both internal and external staff.
  • Ability to work with new producers and assist in training and coaching underwriting appetites and requirements.
  • Maintaining an internal database system with a high level of accuracy and detail.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
